Bubbling, bobbing, and burbling goes the brook
Wispy, whirly and whooshy goes the wind
Muttered, muted, and muffled goes my memory

I putter from problem to predicament, pitiful
I sway through my slumbering sanity, squandered
I drift over my disintegrated dreams, dispirited

I can’t keep carrying on, a carbon copy of calamity
Making motions through misery and misadventure
Yearning for a year to yield a yes, yet…

Bubbling, bobbing, and burbling goes the brook
Wispy, whirly and whooshy goes the wind
Muttered, muted, and muffled goes my life
